Madeleine Swann meets James Bond at the Hoffler Klinik, an alpine clinic high in the Austrian mountains where she works as a psychologist, and the watch on her wrist is an Omega like nearly everything else in the film. Léa Seydoux plays Swann in Spectre, the daughter of an assassin who becomes Bond's reason to stop, the rare principal in the picture who carries no gun.
It is an Omega Constellation Quartz, reference 123.10.27.60.05.001, a 27mm steel watch with a mother-of-pearl dial, line markers, and Roman numerals cut into the bezel. The Constellation's signatures are all there: the half-moon Griffe claws that grip the case at three and nine o'clock, the left one clipping the edge of the VIII on the bezel, a look Omega has carried on the line since the 1980s.
Omega has been the Bond brand since 1995, and Spectre put its watches on the whole cast, Bond and Tanner and Swann alike. The Constellation is Omega's dress line rather than a tool watch, and putting it on Swann quietly marks her, in a film full of soldiers and killers, as the one lead character who is neither.
