Chester Ming is one of the brokers who got rich early at Stratton Oakmont. Kenneth Choi plays him as part of Jordan Belfort's original Long Island crew, the penny-stock salesmen who turned a boiler room into fortunes and then into criminal cases. The film mostly keeps him at a bullpen desk, phone headset on, both palms raised in the middle of a pitch.
The watch is a yellow gold Rolex Submariner. The Submariner began in 1953 as a steel dive watch built to go underwater, and the gold version inverts the idea: the same tool watch recast in precious metal, made to be seen rather than submerged. On a junior broker with sudden money, the gold one fits, a diver nobody intends to dive with.
The identification is thin. One French watch-spotting site logged the gold Submariner on Choi's wrist, and on screen the watch is clearly gold-cased, though it never turns its face to the camera long enough to settle the exact model.
