John Krasinski plays Jack Silva in Michael Bay's 13 Hours, a former Navy SEAL on the six-man security team that defended the CIA annex in Benghazi on the night of September 11, 2012. The watch on his wrist is a Casio G-Shock G-7900-1, the model G-Central identified from the film. It belongs to Casio's G-RESCUE line: a tide graph, moon-phase data, a front-facing backlight button, and oversized buttons made to be worked through gloves, all in a slab of black resin that sells for well under a hundred dollars.
Bay put much of the team in G-Shocks. G-Central counted several across the cast, including a sand-beige GA100SD-8A on other operators, and Krasinski's G-7900-1 is the most visible of them.
"Jack Silva" is a pseudonym. Of the contractors Mitchell Zuckoff interviewed for the 2014 book the film adapts, one asked to keep his identity private and was given that alias; the others appear under their own names. The real Silva was on set during the shoot.
