Civil War gives Jesse Plemons a single scene, and it became the one people could not stop talking about. He plays a militiaman in unmarked multicam, on a gravel road with an assault rifle across his chest, in the moment he asks at gunpoint what kind of American someone is. The detail everyone remembers is the eyewear: red grading glasses that Plemons brought to the fitting himself, lenses that pass only red light and hide his eyes completely.

Lower down, on the wrist gripping the rifle's foregrip, is a plain dark watch, half-swallowed by his camo cuff: a dark dial, a dark strap, a steel case catching a little light. Watch forums have guessed at a Tissot or a Certina, but nobody has pinned it down and the costume team has never said.
