Eric Mabius wears an unidentified watch

Eric Mabius was supposed to be David Boreanaz. The Angel star turned down the role of Matt Addison, and Mabius stepped in to play the environmental activist who infiltrates the mansion posing as a Raccoon City cop. Matt's real mission is to contact his sister Lisa, who works inside the Hive and has been smuggling out evidence of Umbrella's illegal bioweapons research. He gets dragged into the facility with the commando team and survives long enough to get scratched by a Licker in the final act. That scratch turns him into the Nemesis in the sequel, though Mabius didn't return for the role.

A dark watch is visible on Mabius's wrist in the promotional still, but the brand and model haven't been identified. Matt Addison isn't military and isn't Umbrella. He's a civilian with an agenda, so whatever he's wearing wouldn't be the squad's standard-issue DW-8400. It's likely just a prop watch chosen to be unremarkable on a character whose cover story is "new cop in town."
