Walter Garber is a subway dispatcher having a bad day. Denzel Washington plays him in Tony Scott's 2009 The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 as a man who got demoted for possibly taking a bribe, and who now finds himself negotiating with a hijacker over the radio because he happened to be working the board. Washington plays Garber as ordinary, which is the whole point. He's not trained for this.

His watch hasn't been identified. For a character defined entirely by being the wrong person in the wrong place, an unidentifiable watch is almost fitting.
