Cassian is Gianna D'Antonio's personal bodyguard, and John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) makes him the man who fails at the one job that mattered and then refuses to let it go. Common plays him opposite Keanu Reeves through Rome and New York, two assassins who both hold Continental privileges and so keep trying to kill each other quietly, on trains and in crowds, where no one is allowed to notice. The production still from the Rome hotel lobby catches the standoff: Wick bloodied, Cassian squared up across the marble floor, his second waiting behind him.

Carl F. Bucherer equipped both sides of that fight. The brand's announcement coverage of the film, the same piece that carries chief executive Sascha Moeri's pride in seeing his watches "throughout the movie," names Cassian's watch directly: he "wears the Patravi ScubaTec in steel with a black dial," the dive watch of the CFB catalog, while Wick wears his Manero AutoDate dress watch. The pairing splits the two killers by instrument, a tool watch on the bodyguard, a dress watch on the man in the suit. In the lobby still, the steel case and link bracelet sit plainly on Cassian's left wrist below his navy cuff.
