Aboard the bus that carries The Predator's (2018) unit of PTSD-afflicted ex-soldiers, Nettles hangs his left arm over a seat back, and on that wrist is a chunky black field watch on a wide khaki nylon strap. The identification comes from a fan: the YouTube survey "Every Predator Watch, from Waltham to Seiko" names it a Bertucci A-5P Black PVD, part of the brand's tritium-tube Illuminated line. No watch publication or brand announcement has ever backed the call, and the frames support it without settling it. The case is round, matte black, and slab-sided, and the strap is the one-piece type that passes under the case, which matches Bertucci's integrated-lug build, but the dial never comes close enough to read.
Augusto Aguilera plays Nettles, the pilot of Shane Black's squad: a former Huey helicopter pilot and religious zealot who came out of a crash with a traumatic brain injury. In the film's character portrait he stands arms crossed in an olive flight suit, aviator wings on the chest, dog tags out, the same black watch on his left wrist.
The A-5P is a field watch in the plainest sense: 45 millimeters of carbon-fiber-reinforced polycarbonate around a Swiss quartz movement, tritium gas tubes so the dial markers glow on their own, a screw-in caseback in black-plated steel, and a battery rated at three and a half years.
