Ving Rhames wears a TAG Heuer Super Professional

In Brian De Palma's Mission: Impossible, Ethan Hunt builds his team out of disavowed agents, and the one he needs for the break-in is Luther Stickell, played by Ving Rhames, a hacker who can get into systems that are supposed to be impossible to get into. Luther spends most of the film at a keyboard. On his wrist, in the few shots that catch it, is a steel sports watch with a light dial.

What it is has never really been pinned down. One reading passed around online calls it a TAG Heuer Super Professional, the brand's 1000-meter dive watch, which would be an odd amount of watch for a man whose work is breaking encryption rather than going to the bottom of the sea. The screen time is too brief and too far from the wrist to confirm the brand, let alone a reference, and no watch publication or prop record has ever documented it.
