Steve Guttenberg plays Michael Kellam in Three Men and a Baby, the architect roommate who has to deal with an infant left on his doorstep while his friend Peter is out of town. Leonard Nimoy directed this 1987 comedy, which gave Guttenberg another hit during a decade when he seemed to appear in every studio comedy that got made. Michael spends most of the film panicking, trying to figure out baby care from library books and begging his roommates for help. Guttenberg was the everyman of 1980s comedies: Police Academy, Cocoon, Short Circuit. The role does not ask much of him beyond reaction shots and physical comedy, but he holds his own against Danson and Selleck, who had more established personas to play against. His watch has not been identified.
