Roger Moore wears a Rolex Datejust

A View to a Kill (1985) was Roger Moore's seventh and last outing as James Bond, directed by John Glen, and most of the watches in it are Seiko. Bond wears a Seiko 7A28-7020 quartz chronograph in the submarine and Golden Gate Bridge sequences, a Seiko H558 ana-digi diver under his tuxedo, and a steel-and-gold Seiko 6923-8080 in passing at Zorin's chateau.

The one traditional Swiss watch turns up almost by accident. When Bond checks the pulse of his murdered ally Sir Godfrey Tibbett in the back of a Rolls-Royce, the camera catches a Rolex Datejust on his wrist. By most accounts it was Moore's own watch rather than a studio prop, which is why it appears in just the one shot and never as Bond's established timepiece. Rolex has made the Datejust, its automatic with a date window at three o'clock, continuously since 1945.
