R.G. Armstrong wears a Waltham XX011

R.G. Armstrong appears briefly as Major General Homer Phillips in John McTiernan's Predator (1987), the officer who sends Dutch's team into the Central American jungle on what they are told is a hostage rescue. He delivers the briefing and is gone before the team meets what is hunting them.

On his wrist is a Waltham XX01-011, the same analog-digital field watch the production put on the unit's other men, including Dillon and Mac, while Dutch wears the Seiko that collectors nicknamed "the Arnie." It is a mid-1980s digital-and-analog watch rather than any kind of issued military piece, a plain dark sport watch that reads as service-appropriate without drawing the eye.
