Mac Eliot barely speaks for the first half of John McTiernan's Predator (1987), but Bill Duke plays every silence like a man cataloging threats. After Blain is killed, Mac comes apart, and Duke's stillness gives way to something far more dangerous.
On his wrist is a Waltham XX01-011, the same analog-digital field watch the production put on the unit's other men, Dillon and General Phillips, while Dutch wears the Seiko collectors nicknamed "the Arnie." It is a mid-1980s digital-and-analog sport watch rather than any issued military piece, a plain dark watch visible on his wrist as he opens up with the minigun.
