Takers (2010) follows a crew of bank robbers who dress in sharp suits and live well between jobs: Paul Walker's John Rahway alongside Idris Elba, Hayden Christensen, Chris Brown, and Michael Ealy, with Matt Dillon's detective on their trail and T.I.'s freshly paroled Ghost pushing them toward one last armored-car score. John Luessenhop directed it.

The watch on Walker's wrist, according to the French magazine Montres-de-luxe, is a Porsche Design Indicator. It is not a subtle pick. The Indicator, launched in 2009, was one of the most expensive and most complicated watches of its moment, a titanium slab that carried a six-figure price, somewhere around $170,000. Its trick is in the name. Instead of a sweeping chronograph hand, it counts the elapsed minutes as jumping digits in a small window, a digital readout driven entirely by gears and cams rather than a battery, built from hundreds of parts. For a film whose whole premise is criminals spending stolen money on the finest things, it is exactly the kind of watch the wardrobe would reach for.

In the scene still here, Walker stands by a glass staircase in a dark suit, a pistol braced in both hands, and the watch shows on his left wrist as a large, dark, multi-dial case. The bulk and layout fit the Indicator, though the digital window does not resolve cleanly at this distance.
