Oscar flies a cargo plane, which in The Lost City makes him one of two pilots in the cast, the other being a goat named Randy. Oscar Nunez plays him, an easygoing fixer in a loud red shirt who turns up in the tropics to help get Sandra Bullock's kidnapped novelist home. The official poster pairs his face with the goat's under the line "Not real pilots."

Oscar, though, is a real pilot, and he wears a real pilot's watch. On his left wrist, as he digs through a cooler with the goat watching, is an IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph: a blue dial, a steel case, a flieger triangle at twelve, and a brown leather strap. The watch-spotting sites that catalogue the film call it the blue-dialed "Le Petit Prince" edition, IWC's tribute to Antoine de Saint-Exupery, the airmail pilot who wrote The Little Prince.

The brand is not legible on screen, and that identification comes from those sites rather than from IWC or the studio, so it stays a strong guess rather than a settled fact. But the watch in the frame is unmistakably the IWC Pilot's design, blue dial and all, which makes it the most on-the-nose object in a film that runs mostly on jokes. The one man who actually flies the plane is wearing the airplane watch.
