Brad Pitt wears a Breitling Superocean

Brad Pitt is in The Lost City for about ten minutes, long enough to rescue Sandra Bullock's kidnapped romance novelist from a jungle compound and then exit the movie almost as fast as he entered it. He plays Jack Trainer, a serene, long-haired extraction specialist who does everything with the calm of a man who has never once been worried. It is a cameo built on Brad Pitt being Brad Pitt.

Off-screen he has been a Breitling ambassador since 2019, part of the brand's cinema squad with Charlize Theron and Adam Driver, so a Breitling on Trainer's wrist would not be a surprise. Watch forums have settled on a specific one, the Breitling Superocean 44 Outerknown, the dive watch Breitling built with the surfwear label Outerknown and its straps of recycled nylon. The trouble is that the watch barely appears. In the stills available it is hidden by a sleeve or out of frame, and Spotern, the other site that logged it, could only call it a generic field watch.

So the identification sits where it began, as an educated guess. The brand fits the man wearing it, the model is plausible, and nobody has a clean enough frame to be sure. For a character on screen just long enough to be charming and leave, an unconfirmed watch is a fitting souvenir.
