Abigail Fairfax is a billionaire who collects ancient artifacts and decides that a romance novelist counts as one. Daniel Radcliffe plays him in The Lost City as the kind of villain who has a private jet, a velvet manner, and no sense that any of this is unreasonable. In the jet, he leans across the cabin to hand a tumbler of whiskey to the woman he has kidnapped, the picture of a rich man being gracious about a hostage situation.
On the wrist holding the glass is a gold watch on a gold bracelet, a round dress watch that catches the cabin light. It is the watch a costume department reaches for when a character's whole personality is money. No make has been identified, and the camera never holds on it long enough to read a dial, so it stays a gold dress watch and nothing more exact than that.
There is a small joke buried in the casting. Daniel Radcliffe is known, off-screen, for wearing a Casio F-91W, the fifteen-dollar plastic digital that is about the least billionaire watch ever made. As Fairfax he wears the opposite, gold and gleaming and anonymous, a watch picked to read as wealth rather than to be any particular thing.
