The watch arrives in its box. In Seth Gordon's Baywatch (2017), the watch first appears as the bribe itself: a TAG Heuer presentation case held open across a restaurant table, the logo printed inside the lid, a steel watch on the cushion, and Councilman Rodriguez reaching for it. Victoria Leeds is buying the local politicians she needs for her drug operation, and Oscar Nuñez's Rodriguez takes the gift. It costs him. When a private yacht burns, Baywatch evacuates everyone except Rodriguez, who dies, and the team later proves he was murdered and the autopsy faked, killed, the film reveals, for trying to blackmail Leeds.

The brand needs no identification because the film does the identifying: the TAG Heuer box is on screen. The model is less settled. The watch in the case shows a dark dial with a doubled day and date window at three o'clock on a steel bracelet, a layout that points to TAG Heuer's Link Calibre 5 Day-Date, though no publication has ever confirmed the model. It sits upside down in the case. Watch forums noticed the prop too; a Reddit thread asking which TAG the councilman was gifted went unanswered. Dwayne Johnson's Mitch Buchannon and Zac Efron carry the film, but the bribe in the box is one of its few props with a speaking part.
