Dwayne Johnson wears an unidentified watch

Dwayne Johnson plays Mitch, the head lifeguard who runs the Baywatch crew with the seriousness of a military commander, in Seth Gordon's 2017 reboot of the television series. He spends most of the film in the red of the lifeguard uniform, on the sand or in the surf. The one constant accessory is a black dive watch on his wrist.

What it is depends on the source, and none of the sources is authoritative. Sites that sell screen-look-alike merchandise call it a Rolex Sea-Dweller, the deep-diving Rolex with a helium escape valve. The likelier origin of that claim is the press tour, where Johnson was photographed wearing an actual Sea-Dweller. On screen the watch looks plainer: a black analog diver on a rubber strap with no numerals, which has sent other watch-spotters toward a cheap Casio diver or a vintage Heuer.

Three identifications, three different brands, and not one from a watch publication or the production. Mitch wears a black dive watch, the kind a lifeguard would actually wear. The make has never been confirmed.
