Michael Caine wears a Bremont Kingsman Special Edition Rose Gold

Michael Caine sits behind a desk in a green-walled study hung with oil paintings and lined with crystal decanters, the picture of old British money. He plays Chester King, codename Arthur, the head of Kingsman, the independent spy agency that runs on Savile Row tailoring and gentleman's manners. On his wrist is a rose gold watch, and it is one Bremont built for the film.

Bremont made it specifically for the production, working with director Matthew Vaughn, and the result is a real watch, not a prop: the Kingsman Special Edition, a modified version of the brand's ALT1-WT World Timer. Caine's is the 18-karat rose gold one, 43mm, with a white dial, a chronograph laid out across three subdials, the word Kingsman on the counter at twelve, and an internal bezel of twenty-four world cities you turn with a second crown at eight o'clock.

In the film the watch marks rank. The Kingsman field agents all wear the rose gold version, Caine alongside Colin Firth's Galahad and the rest, while the trainee recruits get a blacked-out chronograph on a fabric strap. Bremont built three models in total for the production, put its own co-founder Nick English on screen in a cameo, and then sold the watches to the public after the film came out.
