Army of Thieves gives each member of its heist crew a single defining trait, and Rolph's is that he is the greatest. Guz Khan, the British comedian from Man Like Mobeen, plays him as the getaway driver, a loud and slightly unhinged wheelman who is sure he is the best in the world behind a drifting car. He wears a goat pendant to make the point: goat, as in G.O.A.T., greatest of all time. To get ready, Khan learned to drift for real, sliding cars around Prague during the shoot.
The rest of Rolph's look is just as loud. Costume-spotters have already catalogued his black-and-gold Cazal glasses. On his wrist, in a scene where he stands nose to nose with the safecracker Dieter, is a heavy gold chronograph: a dark dial with subdials, a gold case, a gold bracelet, all of it catching the light.
Nobody has put a name to it. The same fans who tracked down his eyeglasses and his goat pendant left the watch alone, and on screen there is no logo to read, just a lot of gold.
