On the beach in Murder Mystery 2, Francisco holds a metal flask in one hand and wears a gold ring on the other, with a watch to match the display: a round case in rose gold on a dark leather strap, sitting under the cuff of a yellow floral shirt. Enrique Arce plays him. The Spanish actor, known to most viewers as Arturo in Money Heist, here takes on Francisco Perez, a retired soccer star whom the groom's father had installed as chairman of the company board.
The film is the Netflix sequel that follows Nick and Audrey Spitz, the married detectives played by Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, now scraping by as full-time investigators. They arrive at a private island for the wedding of their friend Vikram Govindan, the host everyone calls the Maharajah. The groom is taken during the party. A body falls from an elephant as the diversion, and a seventy-million-dollar ransom pulls the couple to Paris. Francisco is one of the guests the plot keeps in frame as a suspect, and he is also the bride's former boyfriend.
The brand on the dial cannot be read in any frame. What shows is a round rose-gold case and a dark dial with a coppery, openworked center that leaves the movement on display, worn on a plain dark strap. It fits the man the script hands Arce, a retired athlete with a long reputation as a womanizer who turns up at the wedding of the woman he used to date. When the kidnapping is finally solved, the culprit is not the conspicuous ex in rose gold but the groom's own sister, passed over for the family company that had given Francisco his seat at the table.
