Ellen Burstyn wears a Hamilton Khaki Field

Ellen Burstyn appears in the final act of Interstellar as the elderly Murphy Cooper, and the Hamilton Khaki Field on her wrist is the same watch her father gave her before disappearing through a wormhole decades earlier. In Christopher Nolan's 2014 film, the watch becomes a transmitter. Cooper, trapped inside a black hole, manipulates its second hand to encode quantum data that his daughter needs to solve the gravitational equation keeping humanity earthbound.

The Khaki Field is shared across three actors playing Murphy at different ages. Mackenzie Foy wears it as young Murph, who initially rejects the gift out of anger at her father's departure. Jessica Chastain wears it as adult Murph. And Burstyn wears it in the resolution, when the data finally arrives. Hamilton built a custom version for the production, and the watch became one of the most famous product placements in recent science fiction.
