Eiza González wears a Casio G-Shock

Cam Thompson spends most of Ambulance (2022) in the back of a hijacked ambulance, keeping a wounded police officer alive while the two bank robbers up front, played by Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, drag her through Los Angeles at the head of a citywide chase. Eiza González plays her in Falck paramedic whites, and in one frame on this record she stands in the street with her hands raised, blue nitrile gloves soaked in blood, the name tag reading C. Thompson, Paramedic. On her left wrist in that frame, and through the film, sits a black Casio G-Shock, worn with the face turned to the inside of her wrist.

G-Central, the specialist site that tracks the brand, spotted the watch in the trailer in February 2022, months before release, and identified it as a GBD-100, reading the screen example as the black GBD-100-1 with red accents. It is not the armored G-Shock of military movies but the fitness one: the line Casio sells as G-Shock MOVE in the United States and G-SQUAD in Asia, with an MIP display, a step counter, Bluetooth connectivity, and a retail price around 150 dollars. The record's stills bear the identification out. The black case and its red accents sit on her inner wrist, in frame with the trauma gloves, in Michael Bay's most sustained chase film.
