Bonnie Bedelia wears an unidentified watch

Die Hard 2 (1990) gives Holly McClane less to do than the original, stranding her on a plane circling Dulles while terrorists hold the airport below. Her seatmate is Richard Thornburg, the reporter who exposed her family to Hans Gruber in the first film; when he broadcasts a panic-causing scoop from the lavatory, Holly borrows a fellow passenger's stun gun and drops him. Bonnie Bedelia plays her as someone who has done this before and assumes, correctly, that the man causing the chaos below is her husband.

Her watch in the first Die Hard was the most important one in the film. It was a gold Rolex Datejust, a gift from her colleague Harry Ellis, and it became the hinge of the ending: as Hans Gruber fell from Nakatomi Plaza clinging to her wrist, McClane popped the Rolex's clasp and let him drop. In Die Hard 2 the watch on her wrist is never identified, and it plays no part in the story.
