Val Kilmer wears a Bulgari Diagono

Late in Heat, in the beach-house apartment, Chris Shiherlis has a round watch on his wrist: a light bezel over a dark dial, on a dark strap. Watch writers read it as a two-tone Bulgari Diagono Scuba. It was an unusual watch to find in a 1995 film: Bulgari had been making watches since the Bulgari Bulgari of 1977, but the house was still known first as a Roman jeweller. Odder still, the Scuba is the dive model of the same Diagono line Al Pacino's Vincent Hanna wears as a chronograph, so the film puts a Bulgari on both the detective and one of the thieves he is chasing.
