Superman (2025), the reboot DC first announced as Superman: Legacy, shows Otis Berg in the dark. Terence Rosemore plays him as one of Lex Luthor's men, and the frame here is a night exterior: a streetlight on one side of his face, the rest in shadow, the wrist out of it.
What he wears, by the dealer listing that names the reference, is a Hamilton Jazzmaster Open Heart, H32675540: a 40mm steel case, a blue smoked dial cut open at the center to expose the balance wheel beneath, on a brown leather strap. Inside runs Hamilton's H-10 automatic, good for an 80-hour reserve, under a sapphire crystal and water-resistant to 50 meters. One UK seller prices it at 990 pounds and credits the reference to Otis Berg by name.
The open heart is the whole idea of the watch, the one dial Hamilton cuts away so the movement shows. Here it goes on a Luthor henchman the film shoots half in shadow. Hamilton has placed watches like this for decades, and its catalog already ties the same reference to a second film: the blue Open Heart turns up again in Disclosure Day (2026), on Colin Firth.
