Ted de Corsia wears a Hamilton

Crime Wave (1954) is Andre De Toth's Los Angeles noir, and Ted de Corsia plays Doc Penny, the hardened ex-con who masterminds the bank robbery at its center. Inside the bank as the raid begins, Penny checks his watch, a rectangular Hamilton with a black dial, luminous Arabic numerals, and a framed small-seconds register, the name clear across the dial. The cushion-cased dress watch is a small vanity on a career criminal counting down the seconds of a job.
