Shia LaBeouf wears an unidentified watch

Boyd Swan rides in the gunner's seat of a Sherman tank named Fury, and he quotes scripture over the noise of the gun, which is how the crew comes to call him Bible. Shia LaBeouf plays him in David Ayer's 2014 film, the devout center of five men under Brad Pitt's Sergeant Don Collier as they push into Germany in April 1945, the last weeks of the fighting in Europe. The costume dresses him in small, period-correct things.

His watch is one of them, and the camera never quite catches it. It is a small steel watch on a wide, worn leather bund strap, with a domed crystal over an orange dial stained dark with age. There is no brand on the face and no markings left to read. Propstore sold it in January 2016 in the company's Fury online auction, stock number 52920, with a certificate of authenticity. The crown still moves the hands, though the watch no longer runs.

The same listing notes where the watch actually shows up. Bible wears it in the film's continuity photos, the on-set record of how each shot was dressed, but in the finished cut it stays under his jacket sleeves and never appears. So it stays an unidentified watch, authenticated as Bible's and kept off the screen the entire film.
