Adrianna Tomaz has a phone pressed to one ear and her free hand cupped over the other, straining to hear, and on that raised wrist sits a black Casio G-Shock. Sarah Shahi plays her in Black Adam, an archaeologist in the fictional nation of Kahndaq who goes hunting an ancient relic and frees Black Adam, imprisoned for five thousand years, instead. It is one of the analog-digital models, hands sweeping over a busy black dial with a small digital window, set in a protective black resin case.

No publication names the exact model, and the dial sits too deep in shadow to read a reference, so the record stops at G-Shock. Casio built the line in 1983 to survive a drop. Adrianna spends the film climbing through tombs and running from the mercenaries who hold Kahndaq, a loop of turquoise beads on her other wrist.
