Ryan Reynolds wears an Omega Speedmaster

By The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard (2021), Michael Bryce has lost his bodyguard license and been ordered onto a forced vacation, only to be dragged back into the business by Sonia Kincaid. In the film's yacht confrontation he draws a pistol on deck with the sea behind him, and on his other wrist is a chronograph: a round watch with a dark case and bezel, a pale silver dial with subdials, on a dark strap. The shape is unmistakably an Omega Speedmaster, the chronograph NASA flight-qualified for the Apollo missions and still known as the Moonwatch, though the exact reference is not readable here. It is worth a small correction. The record once carried this as the all-ceramic Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon, which has a black ceramic dial, but the dial on screen is pale, so that specific reference cannot be right. Ryan Reynolds does own a Dark Side of the Moon off-screen and has worn several Speedmasters to premieres, which is likely how the mix-up started; what is actually on Bryce's wrist is a lighter-dialed Speedmaster, identified here only to the family.
