Ryan Reynolds wears a Chopard Mille Miglia

6 Underground is Michael Bay's 2019 Netflix film about six billionaires who fake their own deaths to run an off-the-books vigilante squad. Ryan Reynolds plays the one in charge, known only as One. Reynolds is a Chopard ambassador, and the movie does not hide it: he wears several of the brand's watches across the film, and the camera stops to look.

His main one is the Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control in the grey titanium 'Grigio Speciale' edition, a limited run of a thousand made in 2018. The case is titanium coated to a matte grey, 43mm across, with a grey dial, red Mille Miglia accents, and a power-reserve hand laid out like a fuel gauge, a nod to the road race the line is named for. In a dressier scene Reynolds trades it for an 18-carat white gold Chopard L.U.C XPS 1860 Officer.

There is a coda. The exact watch Reynolds wore in the film was a prototype, and in 2020 Chopard donated it to a Covid-19 charity auction, something the company said it almost never does with prototypes. It sold for $11,500.
