In the second half of Focus, the con moves from New Orleans street hustles to a Buenos Aires motorsport team, and Rodrigo Santoro arrives as the new mark. He plays Rafael Garriga, a wealthy racing-team owner alongside whom Will Smith's con artist works his way in. Glenn Ficarra and John Requa's 2015 crime comedy keeps the watch in plain sight: on Garriga's wrist, on a black strap, sits a cushion-cased white gold watch with a tourbillon set into the lower half of the dial.

That design narrows it to one family. Piaget's Emperador is its dress line, and the Coussin Tourbillon is its showpiece, an ultra-thin automatic with the tourbillon cage built into a cushion case. A watch-in-film catalogue pins the exact piece as the Emperador Coussin, reference G0A38040, listed around $220,000. The script puts a similar value on it: in the closing scene Jess, played by Margot Robbie, lifts the watch clean off Garriga's wrist, and the pair later share a laugh over the roughly $200,000 score.
