Robert Downey Jr. wears an Urwerk UR-110RG

Sony approached Urwerk in late 2016 and Robert Downey Jr. asked to wear one of the brand's watches as Tony Stark, which is how an Urwerk UR-110 ended up on Stark's wrist in Jon Watts's Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). It is the rose-gold UR-110RG, retailing well north of 100,000 dollars.

Urwerk tells time differently: a satellite module rotates three carriage-mounted hour cubes past a curved minute track, with no conventional hands. The 47mm titanium-and-rose-gold case is shaped like nothing else, the movement is Urwerk's own caliber UR-9.01, and production runs are tiny. It is the rare watch that suits a billionaire weapons inventor obsessed with proprietary technology rather than conventional luxury.
