Todd Phillips's Due Date (2010) is a road comedy about an uptight architect, Peter Highman, trying to get across the country in time for the birth of his child while stuck with Zach Galifianakis's Ethan, the worst possible travel companion. Robert Downey Jr. plays Highman as a man whose patience runs out by the second act.
The watch here was logged as a Rolex Submariner, but nothing actually backs that. The source behind it is a Bob's Watches piece about Downey's personal collection, his own Milgauss, GMT-Master II, and the green Submariner "Hulk" he calls his "green money Rolex," and it says nothing about Due Date. No watch publication identifies Highman's watch, and the green Hulk in that article was not even released until 2010, the year the film came out.
What the film shows is thin. In the car, phone to his ear, Downey has a steel watch on a fine multi-link bracelet, but the case is turned to the underside of his wrist and the dial never shows. A Submariner rides on a flat three-link Oyster bracelet, not the beaded links visible here, so the watch on Highman's wrist is more likely something else, and without a clear look it is best left unidentified.
