Robert Downey Jr. wears a Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX5 World Chronograph

The Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX5 World Chronograph is tied to Iron Man 3, but the tie is mostly a marketing one. Around the film's 2013 release, Jaeger-LeCoultre announced the AMVOX5 as Tony Stark's watch of choice, and Robert Downey Jr. wore it through the press tour: a Seoul press conference that April, then the premiere red carpets.

The watch is a limited edition of 300 in ceramic and titanium, its openworked dial cut to echo the radiator grille of an Aston Martin, the marque Jaeger-LeCoultre builds the AMVOX line around. It is a believable Tony Stark watch: expensive, technical, tied to a fast car.

Finding it in the actual film is the harder part. The AMVOX5 was released in 2013, after Iron Man 3 had wrapped, and the press that links it to the movie is all premieres and press junkets, not scenes. The Jaeger-LeCoultre that Stark wears on screen in the series turns up a film earlier, in Iron Man 2. By the evidence, the AMVOX5 is a watch Stark endorsed off-camera, not one he wore in the picture.
