Richard Gunn wears a Hamilton Khaki Navy

Bill Brody is dead before Supercell gets going. Richard Gunn plays him, the legendary storm chaser killed by a storm back when his son William was a boy, and his death is what sets the whole film in motion. By the time the story proper begins, the Brody storm-tour business belongs to Zane Rogers, played by Alec Baldwin, a tour operator happy to sell the legend of the Brody name to paying clients. William leaves home to chase the storms his father chased, falling in with his father's old partner, Roy Cameron, played by Skeet Ulrich. Saban Films released the film in theaters and on demand on March 17, 2023, directed by Herbert James Winterstern.

The watch on Bill's wrist turns up again on William's: the Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman Auto, reference H77605135. Hamilton documents both placements on its own product page for the model, listing it as worn by Bill, played by Richard Gunn, and a second time as worn by William Brody, played by Daniel Diemer. The camera gets close enough to read it, the Hamilton name above the hands and the words Automatic and 300m/1000ft beneath them. It is a 42 millimeter steel dive watch built around Hamilton's automatic H-10 movement, with an 80 hour power reserve, a black dial under a unidirectional bezel, and a screw-down crown sealing it to 300 meters.

Hamilton built the Frogman for actual frogmen. During the Second World War the company supplied watches to the U.S. Navy's underwater demolition teams, the divers who cleared mines and obstacles ahead of a landing, and the first civilian Frogman followed in 1951, the same year the watch turned up on screen in the 20th Century Fox picture The Frogmen. Seven decades later the same dive watch is back in a film, on a father who chased storms and the son who takes up the chase after him.
