Rene Russo wears a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso

Ransom (1996) is Ron Howard's thriller in which airline magnate Tom Mullen (Mel Gibson) turns the tables on his son's kidnappers by putting the ransom money on their heads as a bounty. Rene Russo plays his wife, Kate, who spends the film in agony over the gamble. Waiting in a church at two in the morning, she checks her watch, a gold Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, its rectangular swivel case and Arabic-numeral dial catching the light. The Reverso reads as restrained old money, the right watch for a wife whose composure is the last thing holding the family together.
