Randy Couture wears a Panerai Luminor

Toll Road is the demolitions expert in the first Expendables, the 2010 film that put Randy Couture, a three time UFC heavyweight champion and the oldest champion in the history of the sport at 45, into Barney Ross's crew. The watch on his wrist appears across the production stills on this page, and wherever it is legible it is the same piece: a blacked out cushion cased chronograph on a dark strap, with a textured dark dial, a pale subdial, and a bulge at the case side where a Panerai crown guard would sit.

What the pictures suggest, the paper never quite says. The one watch the production documented is Stallone's: the trade press carried Panerai's announcement that he wears the Luminor 1950 Regatta Rattrapante PAM332, a DLC treated 44 millimeter Luminor with a black clou de Paris dial, and that woven dial texture is what the zoomed stills on Couture's wrist most resemble. A style blog later wrote that Stallone made sure some of the cast wore the PAM332, without naming names, and the watch press observed that it was the second film where the entire cast joined Stallone in wearing Panerai, which reads as if the first film had no such program. No source names the watch on Toll Road's wrist. The stills carry the identification here, they support a Panerai Luminor and are consistent with the PAM332 itself, and that evidence earns a likely rather than a confirmed.
