Rachel Weisz wears an unidentified watch

Francis Lawrence made his feature debut with this Hellblazer adaptation, and whatever you think of Keanu Reeves as a blond Liverpudlian comic book character reimagined as a chain-smoking Los Angeles exorcist, the film has aged better than most mid-2000s comic book movies. Tilda Swinton plays Gabriel with androgynous menace, Peter Stormare shows up as Lucifer in a white suit and bare feet for what amounts to five minutes of screen time that people still talk about twenty years later, and Shia LaBeouf is the earnest sidekick before his career took its various turns.

Weisz plays Angela Dodson, an LAPD detective investigating the apparent suicide of her twin sister Isabel at a psychiatric hospital. She also plays Isabel in flashbacks. Angela is the audience's way into the supernatural side of Los Angeles, a skeptic who has to accept that the demons are real before she can survive them. A watch is visible on her wrist in several scenes, consistent with the practical wardrobe of a working detective, but the specific make and model have not been identified. It is the kind of detail that disappears into the film's dark, rain-slicked palette, where Lawrence lit most interiors like the power was about to go out.
