Steve McCroskey spends Airplane II: The Sequel (1982) barking into a phone while a lunar shuttle heads for disaster, reprising the stress-wracked air traffic controller Lloyd Bridges first played in Airplane! (1980), running gag and all. Ken Finkleman wrote and directed the sequel. Bridges had been television's most famous diver on Sea Hunt in the late 1950s, and the Rolex Submariner he wore on that show became a collector legend, now associated with his son Jeff.
The watch in this sequel is not that famous Submariner, though. BAMF Style notes that the steel diver on a black leather strap McCroskey wears here is a different, more conventional design, possibly a Rolex rival like Citizen, Heuer, or Seiko rather than a Rolex at all. On screen it reads as a generic professional diver, with no specific model pinned down.
