Kristen Bell wears a Cartier Tank

In Showtime's House of Lies, Kristen Bell plays Jeannie Van Der Hooven, the consultant who can read and close a room. The watch on her wrist, clearest here as she packs a case, is a Cartier Tank Française in steel: a rectangular case, a white dial with black Roman numerals and a railroad minute track, on the flat polished link bracelet that marks it as the Française.

It is old-money shorthand, the Tank that Jackie Kennedy and Andy Warhol made famous, and on Jeannie it reads as quiet money rather than loud.
