House of Lies dressed Marty Kaan (Don Cheadle) in Audemars Piguet, and the Royal Oak was only half of it. His other AP is a dress watch: an Audemars Piguet Jules Audemars in 18-karat white gold on a black alligator strap, round and restrained, a world away from the sporty Royal Oak. The Hollywood Reporter, listing the watches Cheadle talked AP into lending the show, priced this one at $42,000 at the time, the costlier of Marty's two pieces. He wears it the way he wears everything, like he was born to it, the white gold catching the light at the cuff of a sharp suit. Where the Royal Oak shouts, the Jules Audemars just knows.
