Casting a Victoria's Secret model as a military intelligence specialist is exactly the kind of decision that defines Stephen Sommers' G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009). Karolina Kurkova plays Cover Girl, who in the original toy line and comics was a former fashion model turned tank driver — so the casting is, in its own way, faithful to the source material. In the film, Cover Girl works at the Pit, the Joes' underground command center, monitoring global threats from behind banks of screens.

Her watch is not clearly visible in the available image, which shows Kurkova at a console in military camouflage. It has not been identified. Cover Girl is a background character who exists mainly to fill out the command center scenes, and her wardrobe received less prop department attention than the leads. The original 1980s character had a more detailed military backstory than any live-action version has bothered to use.
