Michael Bay directed Pearl Harbor (2001). Josh Hartnett plays Captain Danny Walker, Rafe McCawley's best friend and wingman, who begins a relationship with Rafe's girlfriend Evelyn after Rafe is reported killed in action. Hartnett was 22 during production and already being discussed as the next leading man after The Faculty and The Virgin Suicides.

Walker wears the same Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical as Ben Affleck's McCawley. Both pilots wear identical 38mm steel cases on green canvas straps with hand-wound movements inside, which makes sense for military-issue equipment. The matching Hamiltons reinforce that these are men from the same unit, same rank, same background. The watches are not character differentiators here. They are uniform.

Hamilton later released a "Pearl Harbour" edition tied to the film, reference H69439363, with a green dial and matching canvas strap. The brand has a long-running cinema strategy. The Khaki Field appears in dozens of films set during or near a war, and Hamilton runs a dedicated film placement program to keep it that way.
