Dario Argento wrote and directed Tenebre (1982), a giallo in which an American crime novelist, Peter Neal (Anthony Franciosa), comes to Rome to promote a book and finds a killer staging murders straight out of its pages. John Saxon plays Bullmer, Neal's literary agent, one of the well-dressed men who move through the film's bright modern apartments.
Bullmer is said to wear a steel Rolex Datejust, the model that introduced Rolex's date-at-three window in 1945 and has anchored the brand's dress-watch line ever since. The identification is hard to confirm from the film itself.
