The Wrecking Crew is a buddy-cop action comedy that Amazon released on Prime Video in January 2026, and within a day it was the most-watched movie on the service in forty countries. Ángel Manuel Soto directed, Jonathan Tropper wrote it, and the draw is the pairing: Jason Momoa as Jonny Hale, a reckless cop, and Dave Bautista as his estranged half-brother James, a Navy SEAL, thrown back together after their father is murdered in Hawaii. It was shot in Hawaii and New Zealand.
In one beach scene, Momoa, in a white tank and dark sunglasses, reads a letter while Bautista leans in over his shoulder. On Momoa's wrist is a watch, or part of one. It sits under a stack of beaded and woven bracelets, beside a heavy ring, and the bracelets cover most of it. In the close beach frame and a second shot of him on a motorcycle, it never resolves into a brand or a model.
That is a little ironic, because off screen Momoa is a genuine watch enthusiast, an Omega ambassador who also collects Panerai. Here the trail runs dry. No watch magazine covered the film's wardrobe, and the prop auctions that catalogue Jonny Hale's rings, bracelets, and wallet chain do not list a watch.
