Early in Guy Ritchie's In the Grey, Henry Cavill's Sid gets himself arrested on purpose so he can sit in a holding cell and case a police station from the inside. He and Jake Gyllenhaal's Bronco are the two extraction specialists a debt-recovery lawyer, Rachel Wild (Eiza González), sends after a billion dollars a tycoon has hidden on a guarded island. The film reached theaters in May 2026.
On Sid's wrist through the first part of the film, by the watch press's account, is a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Chronograph Calendar in steel, reference Q413812J. The 40mm watch does a great deal at once: a column-wheel chronograph, a triple calendar with the day and month in windows at twelve and the date carried by a hand around the lower sub-dial, and a moon phase set into that same sub-dial, all run by the in-house automatic Caliber 759 with a 65-hour reserve. A pulsometer scale rings the flange, the old physician's tool for reading a pulse off the seconds hand. Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced this version in 2020 and sells it for around 18,000 dollars.
It is not Cavill's brand. Longines signed him as an Ambassador of Elegance in 2025, and he has worn it in public since. In the Grey puts Jaeger-LeCoultre on him instead, and then swaps watches as the role turns: the watch site Watching.gr documented the steel Master Control on Sid early and a pink-gold Polaris Perpetual Calendar on him later, after the character hardens into something flashier.
