- Watch
- TAG Heuer Monza
- Status
- Confirmed
At 10:33 in the morning, Lincoln Six Echo lifts a TAG Heuer Monza from a case of watches, its black cushion-cased dial reading MONZA beneath the TAG Heuer shield. Michael Bay's The Island (2005) casts Ewan McGregor in a dual role: Lincoln Six Echo, a clone raised in a sterile facility on the lie that he survived a global contamination, and Tom Lincoln, the wealthy original who had him made as an organ-donor insurance policy.
Jack Heuer created the Monza in 1976 to mark Niki Lauda's 1975 Formula One world title, won with Ferrari during Heuer's years as the team's timekeeper, and named it after the Monza circuit in Italy. TAG Heuer reissued the model around 2000, keeping the distinctive cushion case and an automatic chronograph movement.
