Chuck Norris set one condition before he would appear in The Expendables 2 (2012): the hardcore language had to come out of the script. The production agreed, and the finished film carries its R rating for the body count, not the dialogue. What he plays is Booker, the one they call the Lone Wolf. He wipes out an ambush single-handed before the team even sees him, tells Barney he flies solo, and answers a rumor about a king cobra bite with the film's best joke: he was bitten, yes, and after five days of agonizing pain, the cobra died. He never came back for the later films, and his own verdict on the experience was simple. This is it for me.
The production still from his cameo has him sitting on a bullet-riddled yellow taxi next to Stallone, rifle across his lap, and half hidden behind the receiver, on his left wrist, a digital watch: silver-ringed case, gray display, black resin strap. A Timex Ironman Classic 100. Stallone handed the rest of the team bronze Panerai Submersibles for this film, eleven thousand six hundred dollars at list, and the documented wearers run Stallone, Lundgren, Statham, Crews, Couture. Booker is not among them.
No watch publication ever put a name on Booker's wrist. The hobbyist catalogs that try agree it is a Timex Ironman and then disagree about which one, and the lone luxury-watch writeup that mentioned Norris at all skipped the identification for the meme: Chuck Norris does not wear a watch. He decides what time it is.
